Why bother?

Spending the time to get the right document design

"Why spend time and resources on doing a proper document design?"

That's the usual question that gets asked.

It's rationalised away because:

  • you are too busy
  • there's a tight deadline
  • the only thing available is Microsoft Word or Excel
  • it's only for internal use

So you end up with something barely functional that honestly wouldn't pass muster as a primary school handout.

Embarrassing to say the least.

It reflects on you and how professional your organisation wants to be perceived.  People do notice!
